Hello! My name is Kendall Kovar. I am a Junior Geography major at the University of Texas at Austin with a minor in Communications. I love to be outside and explore new places and things, especially when those explorations lead to new food menus. I grew up in the small town of La Grange, Tx which fostered my close ties to nature and love for the outdoors. As long as I can remember I have taken the “road not traveled”, quite literally, in hopes of finding new adventures amongst the large oak trees and grassy fields of back home. A long with my love of the outdoors, I have a passion for helping others. One of my favorite things has to be seeing people with a huge smile stretching across their face.
I crave new perspectives and that is part of the reason that I want to study abroad. This study abroad experience will help me gain necessary communication skills that will help me navigate through, not only, the business world, but also my own personal little world. It will also give me valuable field study experience and research through an environmental science perspective. I am excited to see the world and gain new experiences that are not only related to science and scientific understanding, but also information that I can use to broaden my own horizons and be the best person I can be.
